IRS Form 1023. The completed and approved application for the Foundation’s 501(c)(3) status. It was filed in 1986 and approved in 1987. As one of the earliest tax-exempt education foundations in the country and probably the first in Missouri, this is the document that blazed the trail for so many other such foundations in existence today.

Articles of Incorporation. The Foundation was incorporated in 1986 by Mark Vincent and Leroy Strubberg in the state of Missouri. This document also includes the 1987 amendments to the original Articles that were added to prepare for subsequent IRS approval of the application for tax-exempt status.

IRS Current Affirmation of Tax Exemption Letter. This is the verification from the IRS that the Union R-XI School Foundation, Inc. is, indeed, a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)3 of the U.S. Tax Code. Donors may use this document in conjunction with a receipt from us for their donation for tax purposes. Gifts, pro bono work, and other contributions to the Foundation may be tax-exempt.

Foundation Bylaws. This is the most current set of bylaws that governs Foundation business.
