Student Scholarships

Each May during the week of commencement exercises, the Union R-XI School Foundation awards tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to dozens of graduating seniors at awards night. Over the past thirty years, the Foundation has provided well over $1.1 million in scholarships to graduating seniors and grants to teachers and staff of all district schools to fund innovative classroom and building projects.

Union R-XI Foundation scholarships are available to all eligible graduating UHS seniors. Nancy Schroeder, Foundation president, wants to remind all graduates that, “the chance to earn scholarships from the Foundation is available to every Union High School senior. And Foundation scholarships can be awarded to students pursuing a variety of post-secondary schooling, even if they are A+ scholars, planning to attend a vocational-technical school, or already have been awarded other scholarships. We invite all UHS graduates who wish to continue their education to apply.”
